What it is ..

CHOOSE YOU is a deeply personal, self-led journey through three stages: Reconnect. Reset. Renew.

It combines a guided workbook, audio meditations, somatic practice and breathwork, because this isn't head work. This is body work. The kind of shift that lasts doesn't happen from reading about yourself. It happens when you get out of your head, into your body, and let yourself feel what's actually true.

You work through it at your own pace, in your own time, in your own space. A weekend, a week, a month - whatever the season of your life allows. There is no timeline. There is no performance. There is only you, showing up for yourself, one honest exercise at a time.

THE JOURNEY

Stage One: Reconnect

Before you can build a life that feels like yours, you have to remember what you actually want.

This stage begins with a guided visualisation, a meditation that takes you somewhere most of us rarely go: into the vision of a life that is genuinely, deeply aligned with who you are. Not filtered through what's sensible. Not edited for what other people need. Just yours.

You'll also move through Ho'oponopono, a gentle Hawaiian self-compassion practice using four simple phrases that act as a bridge back to yourself. And you'll do something harder, and more freeing, than most people ever allow themselves to do.

This stage doesn't just reconnect you with yourself. It begins to teach you what it actually feels like to be gentle with yourself. Which, for most people who find their way to this work, is a radical and deeply unfamiliar thing.

Stage Two: Reset

Here is where we look honestly at the patterns. The masks. The ways of being that served you once, kept you safe, kept you loved, kept you in control but have become so automatic you don't even see them anymore.

This stage doesn't ask you to get rid of them. It asks you to meet them.

You'll also do the relationship work. The exercise that helps you understand, not excuse, understand, the people who shaped you, so that their grip on your present begins, finally, to loosen.

This is the stage most people describe as the hardest. And the most necessary. Because you can't build a new version of your life on top of old unexamined patterns. They'll just pull you back.

Stage Three: Renew

This is where it all comes together. In Renew, you meet two of the most important voices you carry.

Between those two voices is your compass. Your truth. When you bring them into conversation with each other, they tend to agree on what matters more than you might expect.

This is where you stop performing and start inhabiting your own life. Where the vision from Reconnect becomes something real and navigable. Where choosing yourself stops being a concept and starts being a daily practice.

The practices woven through it all

This programme is built on the understanding that real change doesn't happen from insight alone. Your body has to be part of it.

The Guided Meditation drops you beneath the thinking mind and into the place where your true desires actually live. Before every major exercise, you'll be guided into a state of grounded openness, so what comes up comes from somewhere real, not from the part of you that's already decided what you should want.

The Somatic Practice works with your nervous system directly. These gentle body-based movements help you process and release what's stored in your tissues, the tension you've been holding, the feelings you've been managing, the exhaustion that goes deeper than sleep can reach.

The Conscious Connected Breathwork session is the centrepiece. A continuous, connected breathing practice that bypasses the thinking mind entirely and speaks directly to your body. It is the practice that tends to move things that have been stuck for a very long time. You will be fully guided through it. Nothing is forced. Everything is at your own pace.

Together, these three elements do something the journalling alone cannot: they help your body believe the shift, not just your mind.

A note from Tara

I made CHOOSE YOU because I needed it and it didn't exist.

I know what it's like to be in survival mode for so long you've forgotten what the alternative feels like. I know what it's like to be excellent at caring for everyone else and quietly, privately, completely losing yourself in the process. I know the exhaustion. The numbness. The sense of watching your own life from somewhere slightly outside it.

I also know what it feels like to come back.

Not to become someone new, I didn't want to become someone new. I wanted to remember who I was before life told me who to be. That process took time, and real work, and a lot of the practices that are now woven through CHOOSE YOU.

A few questions you might have

How long will it take?

There is no set timeline. Some people work through it in a weekend. Some take a month, dipping in and out as life allows. There is no right way. The only wrong way is to leave it unopened.

Do I need any experience with breathwork or meditation?

None at all. Everything is fully guided. The breathwork session includes a full explanation of what to expect before you begin. You will not be thrown in at the deep end.

Is this therapy?

No. CHOOSE YOU is a self-led programme based on lived experience, somatic practice and evidence-informed breathwork. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are currently in crisis or working through acute trauma, please reach out to a qualified practitioner. CHOOSE YOU can be a beautiful complement to that work, but it is not a replacement for it.

What if it brings up difficult feelings?

It might. That's the work doing exactly what it's supposed to. The workbook includes signposting to support organisations if you need them. You can pause at any point and return when you're ready. Go gently. You are the only one setting the pace here.
